Adventure Shetland Walking Week 2026 - Monday 27th to Friday 31st July
This week long hiking extravaganza takes you on Shetland's best walks, to some of the most incredible landscapes and coastal scenes these islands have to offer.
Monday 27th - Eshaness
Tuesday 28th - Culswick and Deepdale
Wednesday 29th - Fethaland
Thursday 30th - Unst: Hermaness and the Easting
Friday 31st - Ronas Hill and the Lang Ayre
We will depart from the Market Cross in Lerwick at 9am each day (8am on Thursday for ferries to Unst). Packed lunches will be provided.

The Health and Safety Bit
Most of these walks fall into the moderate category. I've spent my life exploring these islands and know all of these walks well, and there are certain areas which will require a greater degree of physical exertion, so please keep that in mind.
Many of them contain steep gradients, difficult conditions underfoot such as loose stones and gravel, and we will be near some high cliff edges at times. Every precaution will be taken to ensure safety as a matter of course - none of us want any injuries to occur while we're out exploring the very best of Shetland’s wild and remote places.
Please ensure that you are wearing suitable clothing and footwear for the conditions. Waterproofs - even lightweight, packable ones - and sturdy walking shoes or boots are essential. If you need or want walking poles or other gear please feel free to take that along too! I do have some to borrow, but not enough to supply a full group.
I also strongly advise you to bring plenty of water each day.
